Privacy Policy
Overview
Embrella Labs builds apps that respect your privacy. We collect only what is necessary to provide the service and never sell your personal data.
Embrella Labs apps include ZenSpark Alarm, Aindly App, and other applications published under the Embrella Labs developer account on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Information We Collect
Depending on the app, we may collect:
- In-app purchase history — to verify your subscription or purchase status, where purchases or subscriptions are offered (processed via RevenueCat).
- Crash logs, diagnostics, and app statistics — to identify bugs, understand reliability, and improve performance. This data is anonymous and not linked to your identity.
- Local app data — such as alarms, preferences, scanned product details, ingredient results, and skincare-related settings. This data is stored locally on your device only. We never upload it to our servers.
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal identifier unless you explicitly provide it.
How We Use Your Information
- To deliver and improve app functionality
- To process and validate in-app purchases
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs
- To serve ads (where applicable)
Notifications
With your permission, our apps may send local notifications (for example, to trigger alarms). We do not send marketing or remote push notifications.
Advertising
Some of our apps may display ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. On iOS, you will be prompted for permission before any advertising identifier is accessed. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
Third-Party Services
Our apps may use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management. Receives anonymised purchase history.
- Google AdMob — advertising. May collect device identifiers and usage data.
- Apple / Google — app distribution, payment processing, and crash reporting.
Data Security
All data transmitted to third-party services (RevenueCat, Google AdMob) is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. Local app data, including alarm data, preferences, scanned product details, ingredient results, and skincare-related settings, is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because we do not maintain an account system, there is no user profile to delete. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.
App Privacy Details (Apple App Store & Google Play)
Data practices vary by app. The following covers our current apps:
ZenSpark Alarm
- Purchase history — collected by RevenueCat to validate subscriptions. Linked to your identity.
- Crash data — collected anonymously for diagnostics. Not linked to your identity.
ZenSpark does not use advertising SDKs and does not collect device identifiers, location, contacts, health data, or browsing history.
Aindly
- Purchase history — collected by RevenueCat to validate subscriptions or purchases, if offered. Linked to your identity.
- Crash data and app statistics — collected anonymously for diagnostics, reliability, and performance improvement. Not linked to your identity.
Aindly is an ingredients and product scanner for food and cosmetics. Scanned products, ingredient details, skincare preferences, analysis results, and scan history are stored on your device only and are not uploaded to Embrella Labs servers. Aindly does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, health data, or browsing history.
Other Embrella Labs apps (where applicable)
- Identifiers (Device ID) — may be collected by Google AdMob for advertising in apps that display ads. Not linked to your identity.
- Usage data — may be collected by Google AdMob in apps that display ads. Not linked to your identity.
Children's Privacy
Our apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of our apps after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
